Opportunity: Creative Philadelphia Public Art Artist Registry

Public Art Artist Registry Application

Philadelphia's Public Art Program invites artists to submit an application with the Public Art Artist Registry.

The registry allows artists to participate in all selection processes by maintaining a record of their work that will be consulted by Public Art staff, panelists, architects, and City agencies as public art opportunities become available. The registry is open to all professional artists. There are no residency requirements for the registry, although some opportunities will be limited to artists living in the greater Philadelphia region.

Joining our Public Art Artist Registry is now easier than ever! Apply online or by mail, and be considered for all future Public Art Program opportunities.

Monmouth County Members

Everyone wonders why did a Jersey girl join the PHILADELPHIA WCA? Bascially, because my family roots  and my alma mater, Moore College of Art & Design, are in Philly. But if you are Jersey girl like me and live in Monmouth County - and a few of our members do - check this opportunity out.
http://www.180nj.org/2012HeadsUpDVAM.htm. The exhibit is called "Heads Up" and it  serves as a vehicle for the education and prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault through the visual arts. 180 is a private, non-profit charitable organization with more than 35 years experience providing model programs in the field of sexual assault and family violence. 180 is the only domestic violence agency in Monmouth County, NJ with 24 hour hot-line services. Our organization is dedicated to ending the cycle of domestic violence and sexual assault in our community. Please click on the link for more information. I thought it would be more important to share this information with our members because it serves the greater good of protecting women through the arts.

Generations: Louise Fishman, Gertrude Fisher-Fishman, and Razel Kapustin
October 13, 2012 – January 6, 2013
The exhibition explores the relationships between the art of Louise Fishman (b. 1939) and the work of both her mother Gertrude Fisher-Fishman (b. 1916) and her aunt Razel Kapustin (1908-1968). Key pieces by the three artists, each of whom is represented in Woodmere's collection, will be exhibited together, underscoring the pictorial, philosophical, and emotive relationships between three distinct artistic voices. Learn More >>
