Feminist Art Project

November 29, 2006

Greetings from The Feminist Art Project:

We are pleased to welcome new members to The Feminist Art Project Honorary Committee: Gloria Steinem, Faith Ringgold, Chrissie Iles, Norma Broude, Mary D. Garrard, and Cindy Nemser have all graciously consented to join the committee as an expression of their support for the project and its goals. Please read about these and all our Honorary Committee members at http://feministartproject.rutgers.edu/about/

We want you to know that The Feminist Art Project is co-sponsoring a day of free panels and presentations in conjunction with College Art Association’s Annual Conference, at the Hilton New York, in February 2007.

On Saturday, February 17, 2007, Feminist Art Project Special Sessions will take place from 9:30 AM–5:30 PM in the Hilton’s Third Floor Rendezvous Trianon Room, Sixth Avenue at 53rd Street, New York City. The day's events, which are free and open to the public, feature short panels and discussion. For complete details about Saturday’s program and the complete CAA conference go to the CAA Special Events page and scroll down to Saturday at: http://conference.collegeart.org/2007/special

We also invite you to visit our new, upgraded Feminist Art Project website at http://feministartproject.rutgers.edu

We apologize for the launch delay; however, its integrated databases for contacts and calendar data should prove worth the wait. Updating site content is an ongoing process; we welcome your comments and suggestions. For REVISIONS to your current calendar listings, please send your changes to me at this e-address. However for new calendar listings, you will now be able to enter your events online.
