Opportunity: Visual Arts Scholarships from Fundacion Marcelino Botin

Visual Arts Scholarships from Fundacion Marcelino Botin
Deadline: May 8, 2009
Fundacion Marcelino Botin, a Spanish institution created in 1964, has just opened a new Visual Arts Scholarships call. It will soon open one corresponding to the Workshop, directed in 2009 by Jannis Kounellis.
The Visual Arts Scholarships are financial aids for education, research or personal projects that culminate in the organization of an exhibition in Santander and the publication of a catalogue. The call is open to people from any country with the sole condition of being between 23 and 40 years of age for the education scholarships. Complete bases for this call, as well as the application form, are available in a pdf document at http://www.fundacionmbotin.org, in the Call for Entries section.
In reference to the Workshop, this year it will be directed by Jannis Kounellis (El Pireo, Greece, 1936). 15 artists will be selected to work at the Villa Iris farm in Santander from June 29 to July 10, 2009. The bases for this Workshop will soon be posted on the Foundation’s webpage.
