"Women Collared for Work" at the Outlook Gallery now in the Delaware Art Museum until March 21st opened on Feb 5th. Eight women artists created art with the 'collar' as a metaphor for the restraint,inspiration and innovation of powerful female icons representing a range of occupations. The exhibit includes assemblage, painting, wall relief and sculpture. It pays homage to women from 1889 through 1989 and visually explores and highlights their well-known contributions and stories.
Included in the exhibition is work by Margo Allman, Bernice Davidson, Maria Keane,Rosemary Lane, Judith Schwab, Wilma Bulkin Siegel, Ann Stein and Deborah Stelling.
