ARC GALLERY JURIED SHOW: “FOTO: Pushing Boundaries”
March 5, 2011 – March 27, 2011
“FOTO: Pushing Boundaries” is a survey of photographic media today in the United States exploring photography that pushes the boundaries of the medium through unusual and challenging imagery, and employs creative use of either traditional darkroom processes or non-traditional processes. The juror’s criteria includes originality, innovation, and impact, as well as composition and mastery of technique of each piece of work submitted.
CATEGORIES ACCEPTED: Original artworks created through photography in 2009 & 2010 - including photographs shot with film cameras or digital cameras, scanned images, unaltered photographs, altered photographs, montages, cyanotype, photograms, and polaroid transfers. This can include straightforward subject matter, factual subjects presented in an unusual way, recognizable objects in unrealistic surroundings, or strictly abstract images.

ELIGIBILITY: All artists residing in the continental United States
$35 entry fee for up to 3 pieces

Call for Art: Arc Studios and Gallery
Bonnie MacAllister is a multimedia performance artist. She has performed at the New York Foundation of Arts and the Cat Cat Club in Paris, and her plays have been staged at the Shubin Theatre, Adrienne Theatre, and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally including in Galeria 6 in Mexico, the Utopia Library in Italy, and the Delaware Art Museum.
