Ellen Bonett: Figuratively Speaking at Holy Family University from October 26 - November 21.
“Figuratively Speaking” on Display in Art Gallery (10/27/2010)
The Holy Family University Art Gallery will host the exhibit “Figuratively Speaking” from October 26 through November 21. The exhibit features sculpture by Adrienne Marasco Rodgers and paintings, drawings, and sculpture by Ellen Bonett. An opening reception and gallery talk will be held in the Art Gallery on Tuesday, November 2, from 5-7 p.m.
Bonett focuses on figure drawing, and also experiments with recycling in sculpture, and sewing in abstract paintings.
The University Art Gallery is located in the lower level of the Education and Technology Center (ETC) on the Northeast Philadelphia campus, 9801 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia. The exhibit and gallery talk are free and open to the public.
Bonnie MacAllister is a multimedia performance artist. She has performed at the New York Foundation of Arts and the Cat Cat Club in Paris, and her plays have been staged at the Shubin Theatre, Adrienne Theatre, and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally including in Galeria 6 in Mexico, the Utopia Library in Italy, and the Delaware Art Museum.
