Call for Art: Woman Made Gallery

Several calls are open from our friends at Woman Made Gallery:

This is a call for entries for Woman Made Gallery's upcoming  group exhibitions, open to female artists or as indicated in the guidelines from anywhere in the world. All shows are juried by professionals whose involvement brings new and challenging perspectives to the exhibitions. The jurors for the three shows listed in this call for art are noted curator, Ingrid Fassbender from Fassbender Fine Art; Betsy Odom, a rising star in the Chicago artworld; and Linda Warren who owns Linda Warren Gallery.

Artists may submit up to three works by mail with slides, on CD or online as digital files. Video artists may mail their entries or post video still online and include a link to the video(s) in the online artist statement. Please include one detail per work only if necessary, as with book art or three-dimensional works or if areas in two-dimensional work need to be clarified. Accepted artwork must not exceed 72" horizontally or have been previously shown at WMG.

The entry fee for images of up to three works is $30. A statement related to your body of work is required. Please visit WMG's Website for more details.

Woman Made Gallery (WMG) is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization founded in 1992. Our goal is to support women in the arts by providing opportunities, awareness and advocacy. We accomplish this through exhibitions which raise public awareness and recognition of women's cultural contributions.

From 1992 through 2011 WMG has hosted 312 exhibitions, made up of 165 group shows, 103 invitational/solo shows, 36 Artisan Gallery exhibitions, and nine off-site shows. Close to 7,000 women artists have exhibited their work since WMG was established.
