Ana Vizcarra Rankin will be graduating with an MFA in Studio Art tomorrow.
She writes, "This happens in conjunction with a large public art opening, where, along with a multitude of other emerging artists, I will be revealing what goes down during a two year, intensive art program. There is a wide spectrum of thought, discipline, and approaches to a contemporary art practice, and I believe this show demonstrates such. So come visit me in downtown Philly tomorrow, Friday early evening, and attend Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Art's MFA thesis exhibition."
Ana has been honored with the Judith McGregor Caldwell Purchase Prize, which means one of her large paintings (the one on the right in the photo) will be accessioned into the Academy Museum's permanent collection.
