Happy Summer Members!
Hope you've been finding some time to relax and enjoy this summer. It's been a busy one around here. We had fun at our July meeting learning to Zentangle (see previous email) and we planned our show at Holy Family University.
Instead of meeting at Moore on August 10, we thought it would be fun to plan a pool party for you at a member's home, but unfortunately the dates aren't working out. So, please enjoy this Sunday with your family or making some art :)
There's really nothing urgent to discuss at this time other than:
A. There are still 2 BOARD POSITIONS OPEN
- Administrative Assistant (aka Secretary)- Take notes at meetings. I will revise and email them out to the chapter.
- Social Media Director Post events to Facebook, Twitter and update our blog as necessary. Occasionally send out Calls for Art to membership via Mailchimp.
- If you are interested in applying for a position, please email me at wcaphiladelphia@gmail.com
and
B. If you'd like to host a STUDIO VISIT, please let me know! I'll spread the word. We'd love to meet at your place some time this summer or fall.
and
C. Otherwise, our next meeting will be held at the opening reception of the WCA CONNECTIONS 2014 Exhibition at Holy Family University (details below). It's going to be a great show and some of the featured artists will talk about their work. Hope you can make it! Please bring your family and friends. We will have light refreshments.
