Barbara Deming (1917-1984) was a feminist, lesbian, poet and writer and nonviolent activist in the civil rights, anti-war, and women's movements. This fund named in honor of Barbara Deming provides encouragement and small grants to individual feminist in the arts (writers, poets and visual artists).
