We are currently moving our chapter communications over to a google group from which we'll send out all future minutes.  If you would like
to continue to receive current information from the chapter and are a current member, please send a request to join our google group
http://groups.google.com/group/wca-philadelphia-2012, or email phila_wca@yahoo.com if you have any questions on the process.  The google group will allow us to better communicate with each other and will provide a members only archive of all of our messages so that no one misses out.  We don't want to post everything on Facebook since it's so public.  We know that some of you experienced difficulty with the current yahoo system, and we cannot urge you enough to join the google group.  It is so much better.  It is private and only group members can read your messages.  We will still have phila_wca@yahoo.com as our email address, and all of the messages will be automatically delivered to this mailbox so nothing will be lost in the transition.

We're so thrilled to have you in the chapter.  We have four shows and a film screening planned for 2012, we're participating in a traveling journal project that will be at the February National Convention in Los Angeles (detail on http://nationalwca.org) which we hope you'll attend, and we're getting ready for the holiday party (see below).

If you haven't yet paid your 2012 dues, you can follow the following procedure. 
Paying dues:  With this form, http://nationalwca.org/applicants/application.php, you can pay via
paypal or credit card at Nationals.  OR to pay by check directly within the chapter (renewals encouraged), you can print the form and mail directly to our treasurer: http://nationalwca.org/ wcadocs/2012applicationform. pdf
Choose regular ($40) OR student/low income dues ($25) + $15 PAP (Philadelphia Chapter dues) = $55/$40
Choose any of the internal caucuses for free.  Many of our members belong to the Young Women's Caucus:  http://youngwc.weebly.com.  Our Treasurer Virginia will mail you a membership card, and you'll get a letter from Nationals telling you your membership number.

Our holiday party is December 11 from 1-4 at our Secretary, Ellen's where we'll be making Little Dresses for Africa and cards for the A21 Campaign and turning in our traveling journal pages (see below):
